Netanyahu went to America
Benjamin Netanyahu left for Washington today to meet with U.S. President Joe Biden and to deliver a speech in Congress. The Israeli Prime Minister says that the release of hostages in Gaza, the defeat of Hamas, and confronting Iran will be the main topics of his discussions.
Before departing, Benjamin Netanyahu said that meeting with Mr. Biden is an opportunity for both countries to align on their important objectives in the coming critical months, and during wartime, it is crucial for enemies to know that the U.S. and Israel stand together.
According to Mr. Netanyahu, the release of hostages, the defeat of Hamas, and confronting the Iranian terrorist axis will be the focal points of the discussions.
At the airport, Netanyahu said this is an important trip at a time when Israel is fighting on seven fronts and the political situation in Washington is unstable.
He said he seeks to gain support from both the Democratic and Republican parties and added that he tells his friends on both sides that regardless of who the American people choose as their next president, Israel will remain a steadfast ally of the U.S. in the region.
