The treasuries handed over to the government do not cover the salaries of employees for 23 days

The treasury handed over to the Medical Government does not cover the salaries of employees for 23 days.

Figures released in a letter from the Minister of Economy of the thirteenth government to Mohammad Mokhber, the acting president, show that the treasury handed over to the Masoud medical government is only 10,500 billion tomans.

Such a low figure is equivalent to 170 million dollars or the value of one day of Iran’s oil exports.

The treasury balance of 105,000 billion tomans is while customs statistics show that Iran’s oil export revenues had a 35% growth in the spring of this year, reaching $12 billion.

Ehsan Khandouzi, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, stated in his letter that the net treasury debt to the targeted subsidy organization is about 8,000 billion tomans, which along with the cash balance of 105,000 billion tomans, will be close to 185,000 billion tomans positive. Meanwhile, in August 2021, during the start of the Ebrahim Raisi government, 53 attempts were made to the Central Bank for overdue debts. As Asre Iran news website has written, the 105,000 billion tomans treasury balance only covers less than three days of government employees’ salaries.
