The Attorney General of the country arrests and punishes the killers of Hanieh

The Attorney General ordered the arrest and punishment of the perpetrators of the assassination of Hanieh.

Mohammad Moheb-Azad, the Attorney General of the country, instructed the Tehran Prosecutor on Thursday, August 1, to take necessary measures in cooperation with military and security forces to arrest and punish the perpetrators of the assassination of Ismail Hanieh in Tehran.

He emphasized the use of all domestic and international capacities for this purpose.

Ismail Hanieh, who was based in Qatar in his later years, had come to Tehran to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian and meet with the leader of the Islamic Republic. He was assassinated in his hotel early Thursday morning along with one of his bodyguards.
