At the end of May, a speech announcing the final ceasefire plan and the release of hostages was delivered during the heated days of Trump’s trial and the tensions following the reciprocal attacks between Iran and Israel.
On the day the ceasefire negotiations began in Qatar, Israeli journalists reported on the behind-the-scenes details of that speech.
The original and primary text of this speech was historically candid and addressed to the Israelis.
They were presented with two paths: continuous tension, battle, bloodshed, and insecurity, or peace, reduced tensions, and guaranteed security along with warm ties with Arab countries, particularly Saudi Arabia.

The most straightforward speech warning about this dilemma was delivered by National Security Advisor Kamala Harris in June.
