Gravediggers in Gaza are overwhelmed by the large number of bodies to bury
More than 10 months after the start of the Gaza war, the number of bodies arriving at the Deir al-Balah cemetery is so high that the men working under the scorching sun struggle to find space to bury them.
Saadi Hassan Barakat, in charge of a burial group, tells AFP that the cemetery is so full that now bodies are being buried in layers and on top of each other.
Barakat, 63, who has been burying bodies for 28 years, says he has never seen such a situation in all the Gaza wars.
