Netanyahu: I will not yield to pressure

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, announced on Monday, September 3, during a press conference, that the six Israeli hostages were executed by being shot in the back of the head. Previously, the Israeli Ministry of Health had reported that the shootings were carried out at close range, without providing details about the location of the shots.

In this press conference, Netanyahu urged the international community to increase pressure on the Hamas group to expedite the process of reaching a ceasefire agreement and the release of hostages. He said, ‘They have killed these people, and maximum pressure must be applied against them.’

In response to calls for concessions to Hamas to reach an agreement, Netanyahu said it is Hamas that must make concessions. He also insisted on maintaining control over the Philadelphi Corridor between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, stating, ‘I will not yield to pressure.’

This press conference took place as a group of citizens gathered in Tel Aviv on Saturday and Sunday nights, demanding a swift agreement.
