Babak Zanjani’s death sentence was commuted to 20 years in prison

Asghar Jahangir, the spokesperson for the judiciary, mentioned in a press conference the cooperation of Babak Zanjani during his imprisonment and stated that after the return of assets to Iran, the restitution of assets, and the payment of debts, his request for clemency was raised in the Tehran Provincial Judiciary. With the approval of the head of the judiciary, Mr. Zanjani’s death sentence was commuted to 20 years in prison.
