Mahmoud Abbas: Israel should not be a member of the United Nations

Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority, said in a speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday that Israel should not be a member of the United Nations.

Abbas, who had declared a few months earlier that the State of Palestine deserved full membership in the United Nations, said that Israel, which refuses to implement United Nations resolutions, is not worthy of membership in this international organization.
