Germany’s Opposition to Key Points of Zelensky’s Victory Plan

The German Chancellor on Friday, October 18, 27 Mehr, after the European Union meeting in Brussels, expressed his opposition to the victory plan of Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine. Olaf Scholz explained his opposition to the main parts of this plan, including the discussion of delivering Taurus missiles to Ukraine, by stating that caution must be taken to prevent the war between Russia and Ukraine from turning into a war between Russia and NATO, and reminded that this plan would further escalate the situation.

Zelensky had previously introduced the so-called victory plan to Ukrainian representatives and military leaders, stating that Ukraine, after the end of Russia’s aggressive war, would contribute to the security of Europe and NATO with its military experience, and Ukrainian soldiers could even replace American forces in Europe.
