North Korea Will Stand by Russia Until Victory
North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui publicly declared her country’s support for Russia in the Ukraine war. During a meeting with her Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, Choe stated, ‘We once again promise to always stand by our Russian comrades until the day of victory.’ She described Russia’s military attack on Ukraine, which has been ongoing for more than two years, as a sacred struggle.
Lavrov also spoke of the close cooperation between the military forces and security institutions of the two countries, emphasizing that these relations can achieve important security objectives for our citizens and theirs. He thanked North Korea for its principled stance on the events in Ukraine.
So far, neither Moscow nor Pyongyang have denied reports about the deployment of North Korean soldiers. Lavrov and Choe also did not mention this issue in their statements.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has personally not denied the presence of North Korean soldiers on Russian soil and has pointed out that Ukraine also utilizes forces from NATO member countries.
