Grossi’s Visit to the Fordow and Natanz Nuclear Sites
After Tehran expressed readiness to address ambiguities regarding Iran’s nuclear program, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency visited two uranium enrichment plants on Friday, both of which are central to Western concerns.
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), traveled to Iran following his earlier warning that the margin for maneuvering over Iran’s nuclear program is shrinking.
According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Mr. Grossi visited the Ali Mohammadi Fordow and Ahmadi Roshan Natanz nuclear complexes on Friday, November 15, 1403 (Iranian calendar: 25th of Aban, 1403).
IRNA news photos show that Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, and Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy for Legal and International Affairs at Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also accompanied Mr. Grossi.
Given the results of the U.S. presidential election, it is anticipated that Donald Trump will adopt a tougher stance against Tehran after his inauguration in January.
