Iran will limit its 60% enriched uranium reserves on the condition that the IAEA Board of Governors lifts its resolution.
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency has reported a renewed increase in Iran’s 60% uranium reserves but stated that Iran has recently promised not to further increase its high-concentration uranium reserves, provided that the IAEA Board of Governors does not issue a resolution against Tehran.
According to the quarterly report prepared by Rafael Grossi for the IAEA Board of Governors, parts of which were published by some Western news agencies on Tuesday, November 29, he clarified that as of October 26, over three weeks ago, Iran had about 1823 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium reserves, which is 176 kilograms more than in August.
Mr. Grossi recently traveled to Iran to persuade the officials of the Islamic Republic to increase cooperation and address the agency’s concerns.
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, announced in a meeting with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency that Tehran is ready to collaborate and align with this international body to resolve ambiguities and doubts regarding Iran’s nuclear activities.
