The Tribeca Shipping Agency and Turkey’s Ministry of Transport announced that the oil tanker experienced a technical failure while passing through the strait in northern Istanbul.

According to Reuters, the Cordelia Mon oil tanker, which was sailing under the Panamanian flag towards Russia, stopped around the Yenikoy area, and an auxiliary ship has been dispatched to the incident site.

The Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul is one of the busiest waterways in the world.
