Hamas Delays the Release of the Next Group of Hostages

A Hamas spokesperson on Monday accused Israel of repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement between the two sides and announced that the release of the next hostages, which was scheduled for Saturday, will be delayed.

Since the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel last month, five exchanges have taken place, resulting in the release of 21 Israeli hostages held by Hamas and more than 730 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

In the next exchange, which was planned for Saturday, three more Israeli hostages were supposed to be released in exchange for the freedom of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
