Zelensky’s response to Trump: I won’t sell my country and I am still popular
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, accused the United States on Wednesday, February 19th, of bringing Russia out of global isolation by holding bilateral talks in Riyadh.
In his recent press conference in Kyiv, Zelensky also rejected a draft agreement for the U.S. to transfer part of Ukraine’s mines to Russia, stating that the agreement is not yet ready, has been drafted under U.S. laws, and he cannot sell his country.
In response to Trump’s criticisms, he claimed, ‘I never comment on the level of popularity, neither regarding myself nor other political leaders. However, according to the latest polls, 58% of Ukrainians still trust me. Therefore, at present, if anyone wants to replace me, it won’t be feasible. A large amount of this misinformation is spread by Russia, and apparently, they share these lies with the United States as well.’
