Zelensky’s response to Trump: I will not sell my country and I am still popular
On Wednesday, February 19, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, accused the United States of bringing Russia out of global isolation by holding bilateral talks in Riyadh.
In his latest meeting with journalists in Kyiv, Zelensky also rejected a draft U.S. agreement for handing over part of Ukraine’s mines to Russia, stating that the agreement is not yet ready, has been drafted under U.S. laws, and that he cannot sell his country.
In response to Trump’s criticisms, he claimed, ‘I never comment on popularity, whether about myself or other political leaders, but according to the latest polls, 58% of Ukrainians still trust me. Therefore, at present, if anyone wants to replace me, it won’t happen. A lot of this misinformation is spread by Russia, and apparently, they share these lies with the United States as well.’
