Increase in the Number of Victims from the Military Plane Crash in Sudan to 46

The death toll from the military plane crash in Sudan rises to 46

Following the crash of a military aircraft around Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, onto a residential area, at least 46 people have died.

News sources have reported that among the deceased are both members of the armed forces and civilians. In this regard, the Sudanese Ministry of Health also announced that 10 people were injured in the incident and are currently being treated in medical facilities.

The cause of the plane crash is still unknown, and investigations are ongoing. While Sudan is embroiled in a bloody civil war, this incident has severely impacted the already complex and challenging situation in the country.

For about two years, Sudan has been witnessing extensive clashes between Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the commander of the armed forces, and his former deputy, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, the commander of the Rapid Support Forces militia.

According to United Nations reports, more than 125 million people have fled their homes due to the violence, seeking refuge in other parts of Sudan or neighboring countries. In some areas of Sudan, the threat of a hunger catastrophe is also serious.
