Vice Chairman of the Parliament's Budget and Planning Commission: The Government Should Not Compete with the Private Sector

The Deputy Chairman of the Parliament’s Planning and Budget Commission says the government should not compete with the private sector.

Mehrdad Lahooti, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament’s Planning and Budget Commission, stated that when Mr. Pezeshkian took over the government, the country’s liquidity was around 24%, and now this figure has reached 28 to 29%, which does not align with the provisions of the Seventh Development Plan.

There is over nine thousand trillion tomans of liquidity in the hands of the people that needs to be directed towards production.

The government should not become a competitor to the private sector.

The private sector should be practically accepted as an influential factor in the country’s economy.
