The United States imposed new sanctions against Iran.

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, as part of its maximum pressure policy against the Islamic Republic of Iran, imposed new sanctions on Iran’s drones on Tuesday, local time, corresponding to April 1, 2025, or Farvardin 12, 1404 in the Iranian calendar.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced in a statement on Tuesday, local time, that today the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Treasury, in coordination with the U.S. Department of Justice, targeted a network consisting of six entities and two individuals based in Iran, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). This network is responsible for supplying parts for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on behalf of Iran’s Quds Aviation Industries (QAI), which is one of the leading producers in Iran’s drone program.
