Errant Teacher Summoned to Sanandaj Court

The errant teacher was summoned to the Sanandaj judiciary.

The Iranian judiciary announced that the elementary school teacher from the Rashidin village of Karju has been summoned to the Sanandaj judiciary on charges of assaulting fifth-grade students.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Selection at the Ministry of Education reacts to these reports by stating that the mental health status of teachers is not being assessed.

Hossein Hosseini, the Chief Justice of Kurdistan Province, told Mizan News Agency today, Tuesday, April 14, that all injured students have undergone medical examination, and the case investigator has been instructed to visit the village of Karju as soon as possible to take statements from the complainants and carry out the necessary legal actions.

Mr. Hosseini implicitly requested the Kurdistan Province Department of Education to take administrative action against the errant teacher.

According to reports, this elementary school teacher blamed the 13 students of the class for the loss of a charger cable and proceeded to beat them with a cable after locking them in the classroom.

Published images show the bruised bodies of the students from this elementary school, and the severity of the blows has caused a wave of concern and anger among the residents of the village of Karju.
