Putin declared a three-day ceasefire
Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, unexpectedly announced a three-day ceasefire in the country’s war with Ukraine.
On Monday, April 28, the Kremlin stated in a declaration that this ceasefire would be implemented from May 8 to 10, coinciding with the commemoration of Victory Day in World War II.
Russia claims that this ceasefire is based on humanitarian considerations and that all hostilities will cease from May 8 to 10, equivalent to April 28 to 30 in the Iranian calendar.
The Kremlin added that Russia believes the Ukrainian side should also establish a ceasefire.
This order was issued after the U.S. President asked Vladimir Putin to stop the shootings and sign an agreement to end the three-year war between Russia and Ukraine.
