Fox News claimed the existence of a secret nuclear facility with the code name ‘Rainbow Site’ in Semnan.
The Fox News network reported, based on satellite images, the existence of a secret nuclear facility in Semnan province, Iran.
According to this report, based on satellite images received by the network from the National Council of Resistance of Iran, this location, known by Iranian officials as the ‘Rainbow Site,’ operates under the guise of the Diba Energy Siba Chemical Company.
The network added that more than a decade has passed since the location in question began operations.
Fox News, citing information provided by the National Council of Resistance of Iran, reported that the main purpose of the site known as ‘Rainbow’ in Semnan province is to extract tritium, a radioactive isotope used to increase the destructive power of nuclear weapons.
Fox News wrote that unlike uranium, which can have civilian applications, tritium has almost no known peaceful or commercial use.
