Araqchi: We will continue uranium enrichment

Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized on Monday, May 18, in response to statements by White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt regarding Iran’s nuclear program, that uranium enrichment will continue.

He said, no matter how much they repeat it, our position will not change. Our stance is clear: we will continue enrichment.

Caroline Leavitt had previously emphasized that enrichment in Iran is a red line for the United States and stated that Steven Winthrop, the special representative of the U.S. President, and Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, have made this very clear both to the American people and in discussions with the Islamic Republic.
