Shamkhani: Threats from Washington have gone silent
Ali Shamkhani, senior advisor to the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wrote on the social network X on Sunday, May 25, that after the leader’s remarks directed at America and emphasizing Iran’s independent policy on a peaceful nuclear program, the sound of threats from Washington has completely gone silent.
This is while Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has repeatedly emphasized that there are only two ways to address the nuclear issue of the Islamic Republic of Iran: one through peaceful negotiations and the other through violent means.
The leader said on May 20 that the American side, which enters these indirect talks, should try not to babble.
He also referred to the indirect negotiations between Iran and the USA during Ebrahim Raisi’s presidency, adding that there were indirect talks at that time too, although without result. Now, we do not think they will reach a result; we do not know what will happen.
