Macron: The ceasefire situation between Iran and Israel remains fragile

Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, warned on Tuesday during his visit to Norway that the situation surrounding the conflict between Iran and Israel remains unstable and precarious despite the announcement of a ceasefire plan by Donald Trump,

the President of the United States.

Macron told reporters that the situation is clearly still unstable and precarious. In my opinion, it is a very good move that President Trump has called for a ceasefire.

Referring to reports about missile firing after the ceasefire announcement, he added that recent moments have shown that the situation remains very fragile.

The two parties involved, the Islamic Republic and Israel, have accused each other of carrying out attacks after the ceasefire plan was announced.

The French President also warned that one of the main dangers for the region and the international community is the potential secret attempt by Iran to enrich uranium.

Macron clarified that this danger has truly increased with what has recently occurred.

We must absolutely prevent Iran from taking steps in this direction.
