Judiciary spokesperson: 79 people were killed in the attack on Evin prison
Jahangir, the spokesperson for the judiciary, said that with the order and follow-up of the esteemed head of the judiciary, a directive was issued based on which all prisoners who did not pose a threat to society and met humanitarian criteria were granted leave to be with their families during these difficult times.
According to Tasnim, Jahangir reported that unfortunately, based on official statistics so far, 79 people including family members of the prisoners, administrative staff of the prison, residents of the Evin area, and some prisoners have been killed, and several others have been injured. We wish a swift recovery and health for the injured.
