Pezeshkian to Macron: Dual Behavior of the Agency Has Jeopardized Regional and Global Security

Pezeshkian addressed Macron, saying the agency’s double standards have endangered regional and global security.

On Sunday evening, Masoud Pezeshkian, in a phone conversation with Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, emphasized Iran’s principled policy of avoiding any war and insecurity, and resolving issues solely through diplomacy and dialogue. He expressed hope that international organizations and institutions, including the International Atomic Energy Agency, by fulfilling their commitments and adhering to their covenants with member countries, would guide the world towards peace and security instead of war and conflict.

The President posed the question of why Israel, which is not a member of the NPT, should be the reference and basis for the reports of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

He said these double standards have created many problems for regional and global security, and it is expected that the International Atomic Energy Agency, while respecting the rights of countries and avoiding double standards, should also defend the rights of member countries.
