Due to Insecurity in Iranian Airspace, Train Tickets Become More Expensive Than Airplane Tickets

Following the insecurity of Iranian airspace, train ticket prices became more expensive than airplane tickets.

On Monday, July 6, Tasnim News Agency reported that train tickets in Iran have become more expensive than airplane tickets.

According to Tasnim’s report, starting Monday, passenger train ticket prices have increased by up to 30%, with the price of a 5-star, two-bed Tehran-Mashhad train ticket reaching 24 million tomans, while an airplane ticket for the same route is about 16 million tomans.

In recent weeks, following Israeli attacks, Iranian airspace was closed to domestic and international flights, and this situation continued for almost two weeks after the ceasefire.

The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization has announced that airport flights are operational from 5 AM to 6 PM, and during nighttime hours, airplanes are not allowed to take off from the country’s airports.
