A member of the U.S. National Security Commission used a tactical nuclear weapon in the attack on Fordow facilities.
Abolfazl Zohrehvand, a member of the National Security Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, who had previously stated that the Islamic Republic could destroy Israel in a few days and that the threats from the U.S. and Israel are bluffs, claimed in an online interview that the United States used a type of nuclear weapon in the attack on Fordow nuclear facilities.
This claim is being made while no weapons expert or reputable organization has confirmed Zohrehvand’s claim so far.
Zohrehvand, who had previously said before the U.S. attack that Trump had toned it down, referred to the depth of Fordow facilities within the mountain and multiple layers over 60 meters deep, claiming, ‘My assessment is that they have used a tactical nuclear weapon; conventional weapons cannot destroy 60 meters of rock and concrete.’
Tactical nuclear weapons are nuclear weapons with less range and power compared to strategic nuclear weapons.
These weapons are designed for use in a combat environment with the aim of destroying specific targets in a limited area and do not create widespread radioactive contamination.
