A Ukrainian Security Service Intelligence Officer Was Shot Dead

In Ukraine, one of the intelligence officers of the Ukrainian Security Service was shot dead.

The Ukrainian Security Service says one of its intelligence officers was shot dead in central Kyiv.

Ukraine, without mentioning the identity of the deceased or the shooter, only announced that an employee of the SBU, the Ukrainian Security Service, was killed.

However, according to local sources, the deceased was Ivan Voronych, a Ukrainian security colonel.

A video attributed to this murder has been released, showing a man running towards another man on the street and shooting him at close range.

A statement from the Ukrainian Security Service said that a criminal investigation into the murder of one of the Ukrainian security staff in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv is underway.

The statement noted that the shooter fired five bullets at him.
