Michel Platini, the French football legend recognized as one of the greatest European footballers, lost 20 trophies and medals in a burglary at his home in France.

According to local sources, the home of Michel Platini, the former UEFA president, was burglarized on Friday morning, and 20 medals and trophies from his illustrious career were stolen.

The former French captain and Juventus star was present in the house during the burglary and was awakened at 4:30 AM by the sound of the thief.

Marseille police have begun preliminary investigations to identify the thief.
