A lion cub belonging to Amir Aliakbari died at Tehran’s Eram Park Zoo.
The lion cub that Amir Aliakbari, a martial arts fighter, was taking care of and handed over to the environmental protection agency died at Tehran’s Eram Park Zoo.
Earlier this April, Amir Aliakbari, a former world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling and a mixed martial arts fighter, posted pictures on his Instagram of a lion cub he was keeping at his home.
The photos caused controversy and led the commander of the environmental protection unit to announce that a new violation had been added to Amir Aliakbari’s legal case for keeping a lion and not handing it over.
Aliakbari reported shortly after that he had handed over the lion cub to the environmental protection agency and Eram Park Zoo.
Recently, news circulated on social media that the lion cub had been killed by two other lions at Eram Park Zoo.
Amir Aliakbari confirmed this news, saying, ‘Yes, the news is completely true.’
For now, I won’t comment on this issue because it could create controversy for me, but the main news is completely true.
