Deterioration of several Arak aluminum plant workers’ health following a dry hunger strike

According to published reports, several workers from the Arak aluminum plant have been transferred to the hospital due to deteriorating health conditions following a hunger strike.

About four thousand workers of this plant have been on strike for over 40 days, and since yesterday, some of them have started a dry hunger strike and have even refrained from drinking water.

The protesting workers are demanding the dismissal of the plant manager and the head of security, as well as the fulfillment of their labor demands.
