Rubio: Iran’s Nuclear Program is a Global Threat
Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, emphasized during his visit to Israel on Monday, September 24, that the missile and nuclear program of the Islamic Republic is not only a threat to America and Israel but also endangers the security of America’s allies in the Persian Gulf and Europe.
In a joint press conference with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, he stated that the Islamic Republic’s acquisition of nuclear weapons would be an unacceptable danger to the world, and the Trump administration continues to pursue a maximum pressure policy against Tehran.
Simultaneously attacking Hamas, Rubio described this group as an armed element that hinders peace and security, adding that until Hamas is eradicated and all hostages, whether alive or deceased, are returned home, the people of Gaza cannot have a better future.
He also emphasized Trump’s commitment to freeing all hostages and ending the threat of Hamas.
In his remarks, the U.S. Secretary of State referred to the events of October 7 and described Hamas’s actions as unprecedented barbarism. He said the Palestinians of Gaza deserve a better life, but this life will only be possible when Hamas is destroyed.
