Gholamreza Farokhi, the Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler, won the gold medal in the 82 kg weight class at the 2025 World Championships in Zagreb by defeating Gela Bolkvadze from Georgia in the final.

The 23-year-old Gholamreza Farokhi, born in Shiraz, had conceded only one point to his opponents before the final during these championships. He had defeated his opponents in the first and second rounds with identical scores of 8-0, in the quarterfinals 9-0, and in the semifinals 7-1.
