Hours after the leader of the Islamic Republic called negotiations with the US an absolute deadlock and harmful, Iran’s financial markets faced a new shock and the value of the rial quickly decreased.

According to data from noon on Wednesday, September 23, the dollar rate in Ferdowsi Market, Tehran, with a jump of 4,000 tomans compared to the previous day, reached at least 108,000 tomans.

The euro was also traded at 127,000 tomans, the British pound at 145,200 tomans, the UAE dirham at 29,300 tomans, the Turkish lira at 2,650 tomans, the Chinese yuan at 15,130 tomans, and the Canadian dollar at a record 77,850 tomans.
