Pezeshkian in New York: Don’t behead the coppersmith, the problem lies elsewhere
Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Wednesday, September 23, during a speech at the United Nations General Assembly, strongly criticized the activation of the snapback mechanism and the imminent return of Security Council sanctions, saying, ‘We have a poem that says, ‘A blacksmith sinned in Balkh, and they beheaded a coppersmith in Shushtar.’
Israel commits crimes in the region and is a cause of unrest, yet Iran is sanctioned.
