The law granting birth certificates to children of Iranian mothers is not being implemented

Osman Salari, the representative of the people of Torbat-e Jam, said the law granting birth certificates to children of Iranian mothers was passed in 2019 but is not being implemented in the counties.

He continued, children of Iranian mothers who do not have birth certificates are deprived of social rights. Mr. President, oblige the Ministry of Interior and the Bureau for Aliens and Foreign Immigrants’ Affairs to implement the law.
