The judiciary announces a new case filed against Faezeh Hashemi

The Islamic Republic’s judiciary announced on Wednesday, October 28, that a judicial case has been filed against Faezeh Hashemi due to her statements about the death of Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.

According to the Mizan news agency, Faezeh Hashemi has been summoned to court to provide explanations regarding her remarks.

Previously, in controversial statements, Faezeh Hashemi had said that her father did not die of natural causes, and when asked if she strongly believed her father was killed, she responded, ‘Yes.’

In another part of her statements, Faezeh Hashemi denied any role of Israel or Russia in her father’s death and said she believes the incident was internal. She added that her father was a barrier and should not have been there for them to do whatever they wanted.

Her father was in a position where he couldn’t be imprisoned, so he had to be removed.

Judicial officials have not yet released further details about the proceedings or the charges against Faezeh Hashemi.
