Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Denies Receiving Message from the US

The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied receiving any message from the United States.

On Monday, November 2, the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied receiving any message from the United States during a press conference.

These remarks were made while a day earlier, Fatemeh Mohajerani, the government spokesperson, had announced receiving messages from Washington about resuming negotiations.

Ismail Baghaei, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, emphasized that the conditions for negotiations with the U.S. are not in place and stated that efforts by some intermediaries do not mean a new mediator is emerging.

Meanwhile, Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, told Al Jazeera that Tehran is ready for indirect talks with the U.S. regarding the nuclear program but rejects negotiations on the missile program and halting enrichment.

Araghchi added that reaching a fair agreement is possible, but Washington has put forward unacceptable and impossible conditions.
