Zelensky Visits Atatürk's Mausoleum Before Starting Efforts to Revive Peace Talks with Russia

Zelensky’s visit to Ataturk’s tomb before starting efforts to revive peace talks with Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey, on Wednesday, November 20, before starting talks to revive the stalled peace process with Russia.

He said on Tuesday that he is preparing to revive the negotiations and will discuss with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan how to achieve a fair peace for Ukraine.

Reuters reported that Zelensky will meet with US military officials in Kyiv on Thursday.

Simultaneously with this trip, on Tuesday night, 20 people, including two children, were killed in a Russian attack on the city of Ternopil in western Ukraine.

Since July and the last round of face-to-face talks in Istanbul, no direct negotiations have taken place between Kyiv and Moscow, and Russian forces continue to advance in a war that has been ongoing for nearly four years.
