Araqchi: We only cooperate with the agency regarding nuclear facilities that have not been bombed.
Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, emphasized in an interview with Khabar Online on Wednesday, November 18, that the Islamic Republic will never agree to zero enrichment and considers such an agreement a betrayal.
He said the enrichment program has become a national pride and the Islamic Republic has paid significant material and spiritual costs to maintain it.
Araqchi also announced that the Islamic Republic only cooperates with the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding nuclear facilities that have not been bombed and does not include facilities that have been targeted in attacks in its interactions with the agency.
Meanwhile, Rafael Grossi has warned that the access of agency inspectors to the Islamic Republic’s nuclear facilities has been severely limited and they have only managed to visit the Bushehr plant, while other centers, including facilities damaged in recent attacks, remain out of reach. He emphasized that the agency does not have the ability to directly monitor these reserves, a matter that heightens international concerns about the potential military use of these materials.
