Najafi: The agency’s resolution is a one-sided political product influenced by U.S. and European pressure.
The representative of the Islamic Republic at the International Atomic Energy Agency on Thursday reacted to the approval of the Board of Governors’ resolution against Iran, saying we will certainly respond to this resolution.
According to IRNA, Reza Najafi, the ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to international organizations in Vienna, reacted to the approval of the Board of Governors’ resolution at the International Atomic Energy Agency meeting, stating that this resolution, which ignores all realities, is one-sided and politically motivated. It was the effort of three European countries and the U.S. who faced failure regarding the snapback mechanism in New York.
Najafi added that they, taking advantage of the majority of votes they have in the Board of Governors, abused this majority and imposed the resolution on the agency.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in its meeting on Thursday, November 19th, approved a resolution obligating the Islamic Republic of Iran to report without delay on the current status of enriched uranium and its damaged nuclear facilities.
