Minister of Energy: People Should Prepare Power Storage Equipment for Blackout Times

The Minister of Energy advised people to acquire electricity storage equipment for times of power outages.

Abbas Aliabadi, the Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic, recommended that people store electricity in their homes.

Aliabadi, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of a new solar power plant in the Central Province, advised people to prepare for power outages by acquiring electricity storage devices.

He said people should take steps to store energy in their homes. We will soon create conditions, with the assistance of banks and the help provided, that will allow people to have storage units in their homes so that if a shortage occurs, they can use these storage units.

He further suggested that people produce part of their electricity needs on the rooftops of their homes.
