Classes at several universities go virtual following the expansion of student protests
Several universities in Iran have announced that they will hold their classes virtually until the end of the year, a decision made following the increase in protests in university environments. Islamic Azad University announced that its theoretical units’ classes will be held online from Saturday, February 27, until the end of the year.
The United Students Telegram channel also reported that Kurdistan, Zanjan, Science and Culture, and Kharazmi universities had previously announced that classes would be held virtually until the end of the year. In the past week, student protests have expanded in various universities across Iran, and images of clashes between protesters and government supporters have been published.
