The US Secretary of Defense: The goal of this war is not to establish democracy

Pete Hegseth, the US Secretary of Defense, said at today’s press conference that the military operation against Iran will not lead to an endless war and emphasized that we did not start the war but we will end it.

He stated that this operation was carried out directly on Donald Trump’s orders and described it as the deadliest, most complex, and most precise air operation in history. Hegseth added that Trump has drawn a red line after 47 years of Iran’s hostile behavior.

The US Secretary of Defense stressed that the goal of this war is not to establish democracy but to eliminate Iran’s missile, naval capabilities, and security infrastructure. He also warned that anyone who kills or threatens Americans will be pursued without apology or hesitation and said that regimes like Iran should not acquire nuclear weapons, and Trump has the courage to prevent it.
