Qatar halts liquid gas production after drone attack

The state-owned Qatar Energy announced that it has stopped the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) following a drone attack on some of its facilities.

According to the company, energy facilities in the industrial cities of Ras Laffan and Mesaieed were targeted. Earlier, the Qatari Ministry of Defense reported that two drones attacked these facilities.

So far, no reports of human casualties have been released. Qatar Energy is considered one of the largest producers of natural gas in the world, and the halt in its production could impact the global energy market.
