Reports say Trump’s 15-point plan includes nuclear restrictions and the lifting of sanctions.
The official details of Donald Trump’s referenced 15-point plan have not been released, but some media in the U.S. and Israel have mentioned parts of it.
According to Israel’s Channel 12 report, this plan includes items such as the destruction of the nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow, full oversight by the International Atomic Energy Agency, the cessation of enrichment on Iranian soil, and the delivery of enriched materials to this body.
The report also states that abandoning proxy groups in the region, stopping financial and military support for them, and committing to not acquiring nuclear weapons are other clauses of this plan. The issue of the missile program has been postponed to the future, but it is supposed to be limited in terms of range and number.
Keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and creating a free maritime zone are also among the other proposed provisions.
In return, it is said that if Iran accepts these conditions, it will benefit from the complete lifting of sanctions, the removal of the threat of sanctions returning, and receiving U.S. assistance to develop a civilian nuclear program in Bushehr.
There are also reports about the possibility of establishing a one-month ceasefire during the negotiations, but this has not been officially confirmed.
Iranian officials have reacted by emphasizing that no negotiations with the U.S. are underway and they do not accept these conditions.
