Projectile strike near the Bushehr nuclear power plant leaves one dead

Iranian media have reported that the area around the Bushehr nuclear power plant was targeted again following the attacks on Saturday, April 4th.

The Tasnim news agency wrote that around 08:30, during the attacks by the US and Israel, a projectile hit near the vicinity of this power plant, resulting in the death of one of the physical security forces.

According to this report, the blast wave also damaged one of the auxiliary buildings of the power plant.

This has been described as the fourth attack on the Bushehr nuclear power plant amid recent conflicts.

Reports indicate that the main sections of the power plant have not been damaged, and its operation continues.

The Bushehr nuclear power plant is operational, and due to the presence of radioactive materials, any serious damage to it could pose the risk of a widespread nuclear incident.

Meanwhile, the CEO of the Russian nuclear energy company Rosatom had earlier reported the evacuation of about 400 employees from the plant and described its condition as deteriorating.
