Advisor to the President of the UAE: Rebuilding Trust Between Abu Dhabi and Tehran Will Take Years

Advisor to the UAE President says rebuilding trust between Abu Dhabi and Tehran will take years

Anwar Gargash, advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, said on Friday that rebuilding trust between Abu Dhabi and Tehran will take many years.

These statements come following numerous missile and drone attacks on the UAE by the Islamic Republic.

Gargash said at the World Policy Conference in the city of Chantilly, north of Paris, that when you are attacked with 2,800 missiles and drones and then talk to me about trust, it will take many years.

The senior official added that 89% of Iran’s attacks targeted civilians, civilian infrastructure, and energy infrastructure in the UAE.

He said Tehran told the Arab Gulf countries that you do not matter in my calculations, and I think this situation will continue for a very long time.

Gargash emphasized that for the region, including the United Arab Emirates and other countries, Iran will be seen as a strategic threat.
