CENTCOM: We have turned back 65 Iranian commercial ships
The United States Central Command, CENTCOM, announced that since the beginning of the naval blockade against Iranian ports, it has turned back 65 commercial ships.
CENTCOM also claimed that American forces have incapacitated four Iranian ships during this period.
The U.S. military had previously reported targeting the Iranian oil tankers MT Star, MT Suda, and MT Hasna.
Last month, American forces also seized an Iranian cargo ship.
These developments occur as Iran has imposed severe restrictions on traffic through the Strait of Hormuz since the start of the war, and the U.S., following unsuccessful direct negotiations, initiated a naval blockade of Iranian ports.
